At the end of May I spent a couple of days in Leicester photographing the Barnsdale Hall Hotel wedding of Sarah & Chris. Sarah & Chris featured on the blog earlier on in the year when we went to Loggerheads and Moel Famau for their pre-wedding shoot.

After getting to know them over the last year I expected a well organised fun filled day and boy was that an understatement. The wedding was amazing from start to finish. Although the couple now live in Chester, they returned to their local church to marry in Manton St Mary's, Manton and were greeted by the most beautiful flower arrangements that the local Manton flower ladies had all put together. It was a really sweet community event and the brightest sunniest wedding day i've ever shot. It was my first time shooting a wedding in the Rutland area and I cannot wait to return.

The service was led by John Taylor at Manton St Mary's pretty church with short readings by Sarah's brothers. It ran smoothly and beautifully, one thing that needs mentioning- I honestly don't think I have ever witnessed a more excited groom- Chris could not contain his emotions and happiness  when waiting for his bride and it was incredibly endearing and infectious! I counted approximately 17 thumbs up throughout the day!

One of my personal favourite moments of the day was during bridal prep at the Barnsdale Hall Hotel when Sarah handed over her surprise gifts for her best friends/bridesmaids, at least 30 minutes of squealing, hugging, laughing and crying followed and it was such a beautiful atmosphere.

I look forward to catching up with Sarah & Chris in the future and wish you both the best.

Sarah & Chris would like to thank their parents for all their help and support throughout the planning and the Manton flower ladies for making everything beautiful. I would also like to thank my second shooter/assistant Alix Ferguson who was totally great and the venues- John and Annie especially, bridal party and guests for making me feel so welcome.

Just a few of my faves!
