Photographing the wedding of Ffion and Jason was a very unexpected surprise, whilst the duo had booked their wedding photography with another photographer, unforeseen circumstances arose which led us together at the very last minute- I first met Ffion and Jason on their wedding day and took over their wedding booking just four days before the big day!
I was due to fly to The Netherlands the next day and had planned to spend my last day at home with my boys; but I knew from speaking to Ffion briefly on the phone just how important it was that they have their day captured.
With no time to get to know the two I trusted my instincts and went with it, as fate would have it we got on extremely well and Ffions snapchat's are now a regular feature in my days!
The happy couple got married at Plas Isaf Country Barn and Gardens in Corwen and although we were graced with a rainy storm we managed to step out in between the thunder and lighting and the day ended with the most dreamy golden hour ever!
Although Ffion and Jason have been together for 9 years, the young couple were in no hurry to get married. This all changed 2 years ago when Jason was trekking in Nepal within the epicentre of the devastating earthquake that hit the news globally. Days passed without news from Jason and Ffion and his family began to fear the worst- after being stranded for 6 days he was finally rescued and the couple decided that there is literally no time like the present and the wedding planning began.
With heaps of tulle and lots of tweed the couple married in a sweet ceremony at the Barn, the tables were named after their favourite well known love stories and friendships and although we spent much of the day indoors it was a beautiful day to remember.
The couple ooze fun and laughed together all day- despite confessing to being uncomfortable in front of the camera, Jason handled it like a pro and he couldn't take his eyes of his beautiful bride.
Here are a few of my favourites and a nod to the team who made this day what it was,
